Food Safety & Quality Specialist

Place of work: Poland, Magnice (Wroclaw district)

Key Responsibilities

• Managing activities related to ensuring food safety, authenticity, legal compliance, and overall product quality
• Implementing legal requirements alongside internal policies and procedures
• Recording quality data, conducting trend analysis, and initiating continuous improvement actions (including complaint analysis and QIP activities)
• Overseeing internal audits: preparing schedules, training auditors, and monitoring progress and non-conformities
• HACCP Team Leader role: chairing meetings and supervising the implementation of agreed actions
• Responding promptly to any risks or evidence of unsafe or non-compliant products, equipment, packaging, or raw materials
• Supporting production teams in resolving quality-related issues
• Liaising with external authorities on quality area (e.g. Sanitary Inspection, Weights and Measures Office in Poland)
• Contributing to cost-optimisation initiatives
• Delivering quality-related training sessions for employees

Requirements

• A university degree, preferably in a relevant discipline (Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology).
• At least one year’s experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector
• Strong understanding of legal requirements and industry best practices relating to food quality and safety
• Solid, practical knowledge of operational and quality processes, as well as established food safety systems (HACCP, TACCP)
• Fluent command of Polish
• Confident command of English at a minimum B1 level
• Proficient use of MS Office
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively within project-based environments
• A collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills
• Well-developed analytical abilities and critical thinking
• Accuracy, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility for assigned tasks
