Our client here is a recently-established, mid-sized Global Business Services Centre with growing and developing structures servicing both regional & global processes.
Job Description
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules, focusing on German market.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries in compliance with accounting principles (IFRS).
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial information and support audits.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- PREFERABLY: utilise German language skills to liaise with relevant stakeholders and manage documentation effectively.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Fixed Assets GL Accountant should have:
- Expertise in Fixed Assets Accounting.
- Experience with accounting software and SAP ERP system.
- Knowledge of general ledger processes and accounting principles (IFRS).
- Educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
- NICE TO HAVE: German language proficiency + experience in German GAAP (HGB) [additionally paid as a bonus
