Financial Services Accounting Specialist with German | Managed Services Operations
PwC Polska is looking for a Financial Services Accounting Specialist with strong German language skills to support the growing Managed Services Operations team in the insurance sector. The role involves processing accounting transactions, periodical close activities, regulatory reporting and collaborating closely with internal experts to ensure high quality and compliant financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Process all transactions and documents related to the assigned accounting and reporting process for the assigned geographical area and countries in line with effective work procedures.
- Perform periodical closing, reporting, reconciliation of accounts and ledgers, assist in quarterly, semi-annual and annual audit.
- Actively communicate and cooperate with respective expert teams to solve specific situations and customer requests.
- Identify any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity on an ongoing basis and report or escalate in accordance with policy and guidelines.
- Comply with efficiency and quality indicators – SLAs, KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Check updated work procedures in line with implemented changes and participate in new client onboarding.
- Opportunity to work on various projects with German clients in real estate, project management and audit support.
Qualifications
- University degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- At least 2‑3 years of functional experience in accounting / reporting for the financial sector.
- German language skills at minimum B2 level and English language skills at minimum B2 level.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations for insurance companies or banking sector.
- Extensive analytical and computer skills (Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF), knowledge of accounting software.
- Experience in the implementation of new customer service solutions.
- ACC A or any other accounting certificate started is a plus.
