Overview

Financial Services Accounting Expert with German | Managed Services Operations at PwC Polska. This role supports Insurance Managed Services within PwC Poland, focusing on US GAAP, IFRS, statutory, regulatory and Solvency II reporting for insurance companies, with activities spanning investment and technical accounting, IFRS planning and budgeting, solvency and regulatory reporting to PFSA. We operate in international and domestic markets.

Your future role

Financial Services Accounting Expert with German

• Independently manage your pipeline and supervise daily accounting and reporting.
• Assist in quarterly, semi-annual and annual audit.
• Transition processes from client to managed service and supervise implementation.
• Act as a leader and expert on customer calls for complex clients and issues.
• Serve as the first point of contact for less experienced colleagues; share knowledge of policy and procedures.
• Properly execute changes, implementations and communication within operational teams.
• Encourage identification and implementation of process optimization initiatives to achieve quality and efficiency improvements, and standardization/harmonization in the region.
• Opportunity to work on projects with German clients, including real estate, project management and audit support.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of accounting experience for financial sector (insurance, banking, other financial institutions) in complex areas of the field.
• Advanced general accounting knowledge (IFRS in particular) and operational experience in regulatory and financial reporting for insurance companies, banks or other financial institutions.
• German language skills at min. B2 level and English language skills at min. B2 level.
• Very good knowledge of accounting regulations for insurance companies or banking sector.
• Strong communication, presentation and feedback skills to lead operational quality calls.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Google tools; experience with enterprise information systems.
• Good organizational skills, ability to organize, prioritize and deliver tasks; adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work under client supervision on client premises.
• Practical experience with ERP solutions is an additional advantage.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the legal basis of insurance contracts or banking operations.
• ACCA or other accounting certification.
