Our client is a global IPP developing, building and operating wind, solar and BESS projects all over Europe. Currently for their Polish office, we are searching for a Financial Modeller, with previous experience in the energy sector and a track record of financial assistance in M&As or financial services for the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial models and analyses for renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on new development opportunities.
• Creating, maintaining, and reviewing financial models for renewable energy plants or storage projects – with a particular focus on various financing and taxation structures.
• Assessing the profitability of potential investment opportunities – preparing scenario analyses and proposals for optimizing results.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders during acquisition, due diligence, and financing processes.
• Maintaining and updating financial models for Polish projects that have been acquired and are part of the base valuation scenario on a quarterly basis.
• Launching, modifying, and reviewing existing financial models for renewable energy projects that are contracted and are part of the existing portfolio.
• Collaborating with multiple internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, Commercial and Development) to gather information necessary to update the models.
• Responding to ad hoc inquiries from key stakeholders regarding the countrys NAV model.
• Supporting daily decision-making regarding plan implementation by maintaining existing financial models and preparing scenario analyses for other departments of the organization.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years of experience in financial modelling within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Strong knowledge of the energy market and PPAs market in Europe.
• Great analytical skills.
• Excellent level of English.
• Ability to interpret and create financial models.
• Show proactivity and understanding of the market.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
