Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and implementing the GRA quantitative library.
• Creating a development environment that is user-friendly, robust, and fully reusable.
• Reducing the time required to develop new models within GRA.
• Collaborating closely with GRA Quant Analysts, Risk IT, Transformation, and Front Office teams to create synergies across departments.
• Implementing software in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with FIM and other applicable audit and regulatory standards.
• Maintaining a focus on process optimization (e.g., automation, outsourcing, centralization).
• Reducing EUC (End-User Computing) tools within the agreed timeframe.
• Escalating issues with appropriate action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Advanced experience in application and software development.
• Knowledge of finance, particularly quantitative finance.
• Experience in risk or financial analytics.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and audit requirements.
• Experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (Business, Risk, Audit, Compliance, Regulators).
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, functional programming, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Experience with PySpark, SQL, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with REST, gRPC, Apache Beam, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Knowledge of C++ is an additional asset.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals is also advantageous.
