We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller for a 12-month contract covering maternity leave.
Youll be working in small Finance team, alongside a UK based Finance Director and a Polish based Finance Junior.

What We Are Looking For
Experienced Financial Controller, with worked experience in a B2B Technology business with multiple global locations.
Were open to candidates based in Kraków, Poland (hybrid role with 2 days per week at the office) or UK (ideally with ability to commute to London office min. 2 times per month).

,[Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models (e.g., rolling weekly/monthly forecasts) to ensure optimal liquidity., Actively manage working capital (incl. accounts receivable, accounts payable)., Oversee banking relationships and manage bank accounts, incl. optimizing foreign exchange transactions and managing currency risk., Monitor daily cash movements and provide regular updates on the companys cash position., Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of records., Continuously review and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness., Support the selection and implementation of new financial software and systems., Ensure efficient payment processing and approval workflows., Manage relationship with UK and other global team payroll providers to ensure smooth end of month remuneration process, and other ad hoc people related payments., Ensure timely and accurate submission, including VAT returns, payroll submissions (liaising with payroll providers), and corporation tax information., Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process., Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax legislation, and other relevant regulations., Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts (profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements)., Lead the month/year-end close processes., Provide financial analysis, variance reporting (actuals vs. budget/forecast), and commentary to senior management and budget holders., Prepare and present financial reports and presentations for board meetings and key stakeholders., Assist with the annual budgeting process and regular re-forecasting activities in collaboration with department heads., Analyse financial performance against budget and forecasts, identify trends, risks, and opportunities., Support strategic planning initiatives with financial insights and modelling.
