The Financial Controller will analyze, oversee, and partner with the Plant Director to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance within the manufacturing plant.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Responsible for the financial and accounting operations of the plant.
- Accountable for the plant’s balance sheet reporting in accordance with PL GAAP/US GAAP.
- Provide periodic financial reports on operational activities, including results, forecasts, budget, and KPIs.
- Manage the complete month‑end closing process.
- Ensure full compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements and continuously improve processes.
- Participate in the annual valuation of finished goods.
- Oversee financial analysis and production cost analysis, preparing and managing actual, forecasted, and budget scenarios, analyzing variances, and assessing impact on plant operations.
- Provide management with strategic tools and reports to achieve business results, including cost standards, hourly rates, inventory adjustments, and capital expenditures.
- Communicate proactively with management, presenting results, analyses, and recommendations.
- Collaborate daily with various business teams, management, and the Shared Services Center – Accounts Payable/Fixed Asset/General Ledger.
Requirements
- Higher education in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Controller in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of US GAAP is an additional asset.
- Highly developed analytical skills with experience in forecasting and budgeting.
- Proficient English (spoken and written) enabling fluent communication.
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and business thinking abilities.
