About the employer:

For our client, an international leader in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment, we are looking for a person for the position of Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

1. Participation in the creation of financial plans and budgets, verification of actual sales and costs deviations from the plans.
2. Financial forecasting, data analysis, and reporting along with recommendations.
3. Preparation of ad hoc analyses and presentations.
4. Close collaboration with the Managing Director, purchasing, and production.
5. Analysis of revenues, costs, and profits, identifying areas for improvement, assessment of project profitability and analysis of financial risk.
6. Ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines (sales, operations).
7. Monitoring, controlling, and streamlining internal processes within the organization.

Requirements:

1. Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a production company.
3. Familiar with German accounting rules (Total Cost Accounting, imparity principle, etc.).
4. Experienced in working closely together with external services.
5. Fluent in English and/or German.
6. Very hands-on (used to bridge lack of system support via Excel).
7. Proven track record of ramping up structures and implementing policies in a growing organization.
