Financial Controller – Close & Control Team

Location: GSK Finance Hub – Poznan

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial controlling activities for the assigned entity, ensuring compliance with IFRS and SOX.
• Oversee the period‑end close process, including preparation of reports, analytical reviews, and ensuring timely and accurate statutory sign‑offs to the local Finance Director.
• Supervise and mentor one or more direct reports, supporting their professional development.
• Provide management reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and working capital.
• Conduct variance analysis for operating expenses, margins, profitability, and balance sheet health.
• Ensure the timely and effective performance of internal controls and support both internal and external audits.
• Provide business guidance in relation to local tax and statutory matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for local business units.
• Contribute to business review meetings, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 years’ experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a data‑driven environment.
• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in multinational settings.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
