Currently for our Shared Service Center located in Wrocław (Poland) we are looking for candidates for the opened position of SSC Financial Controller.

Purpose of the role:

SSC Financial Controller performs complex period end closing activities (e.g. VAT reporting) on a timely manner and in accordance with operational procedures, global corporate standards and local requirements. SSC Financial Controller reviews group reporting and provides financial support and statutory coordination to local entities as appropriate. To secure reporting completeness and compliance, SSC Financial Controller cooperates closely with Accounting Teams and supports them with financial expertise knowledge and regulatory guidance on an as-needed basis. Above that, SSC Financial Controller assists internal and external audits requests and escalates serious issues to SSC Financial Controller Team Leader, SSC FC Manager and SSC Director.

Principal Accountabilities & Key Activities / As SSC Financial Controller you will:

1. Exercise overall responsibility for local entity accounts and reporting, both Group and statutory
2. Review and sign-off on appropriate reporting and reconciliations
3. Perform complex period end closing activities in accordance with operational procedures, corporate standards and local requirements
4. Ensure group reports and financial statements are completed on time as per period end closing schedule
5. Prepare VAT/CIT and other tax reporting
6. Balance sheet control, analysis and comments on P&L
7. Verifying and approving payments
8. Provide controllership support and statutory coordination to local entities
9. Ensure quality control over financial transactions
10. Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and timely respond to their queries
11. Close cooperation with Business Controllers
12. Support external and internal auditors with their requests
13. Provide financial controlling expertise knowledge to Accounting Teams especially by period end activities
14. Identify process improvements opportunities and actively participate in process excellence initiatives
15. Ensure process documentation (SOP, WI, user manuals etc) is up to date and compliant with corporate and regulatory standards
16. Prepare various reports and analysis on SSC senior management requests
17. Deal with ad-hoc operational and administrative queries

Key Skills & Qualifications / We expect you to have:

1. University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting/Economy or similar
2. At least 3+ years of experience within financial processes (preferable in Financial Controlling or R2R area)
3. Good knowledge of end to end accounting processes
4. Very good knowledge about financial accounting standards (IFRS) and other regulatory and statutory requirements
5. Knowledge of ERP systems (preferable SAP)
6. Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word etc.)
7. Fluency in English (French is optional)
8. Very good interpersonal and communication skills
9. Very good analytical skills and attention to details
10. Ability to work under pressure to short deadlines
11. Pro-active and result oriented approach in problem-solving
