About Our Client

Our Client is an IT company recognised worldwide. The Software they provide is used globally and they have an office in Warsaw, Poland.

Job Description

  1. Coordinate financial operations across multiple global entities.
  2. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations for each entity.
  3. Collaborate with external accounting and audit firms to uphold compliance and drive operational excellence.
  4. Supervise accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
  5. Examine financial records, invoices, and bank transactions to verify accuracy.
  6. Perform in-depth reviews of profit and loss (P&L) accounts, addressing discrepancies like missing invoices, prepayments, or accruals.
  7. Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepayments, and accruals, to maintain financial integrity.
  8. Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  9. Provide financial insights to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  10. Identify process improvements and implement automation for greater efficiency.
  11. Use SQL to extract, analyze, and manage financial data, supporting decision-making and process optimization.
  12. Write SQL queries to retrieve data from the BI system.
  13. Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Strong educational foundation in finance or accounting.
  2. Over 5 years of experience in the finance or accounting field.
  3. Expertise in SQL for managing and analyzing financial data.
  4. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems or ERP platforms.
  5. Highly skilled in Excel.
  6. Strong command of the English language.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  8. In-depth understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
  9. Remarkable attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  10. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
