Air Products is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Poland Industrial Gases business (commercial and supply chain) in achieving commitments by providing financial analysis, accurate reporting and planning, and general financial advice.
Location
Poland – Warsaw, Siewierz, or Wrocław; Czech Republic – Prague, Brno, Ostrava.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to achieving operating plan targets for the Poland Industrial Gases business.
- Review month‑end close results, prepare and analyze monthly results and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly report packages for the Business Area Reviews.
- Produce quarterly formal forecasts and compare forecasts to operating plan targets.
- Prepare the yearly operating plan in collaboration with all business areas.
- Provide proactive business support (e.g., analysis on customer profitability, price/margin analysis, new business profitability).
- Monitor capex and cost control of supply chain and plant operations.
- Participate in business meetings and communicate effectively across the Poland IG business.
- Assist with “Cost to Serve” standards for the integrated gases business.
- Support projects on an ad‑hoc basis.
- Work with supply chain, customer engineering, operations to analyze cost performance.
- Engage the team on cost trend highlighting and action development.
- Support productivity program identification and measuring impact.
- Maintain close link between business unit and accounting/shared business services.
Qualifications
- Minimum university degree.
- Preferred fields: finance, economics, business, engineering, accounting, MBA, master’s in finance or economics, or a completed or in‑progress financial qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
- Prior business or finance partnering experience desirable.
- Experience in FP&A function beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good system knowledge (SAP, Analysis/BusinessWarehouse) and excellent MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of BI tools (BEX, Qlik Sense) beneficial.
- High initiative, learning agility, ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills across levels, including senior management.
- Polish and English language proficiency required.
