For our client, an international manufacturing company, we are looking for an experienced finance leader who will play a key role in transforming financial processes and preparing the organization for the implementation of a new ERP system. This role requires not only strong technical competence, but also the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment, a high level of process awareness, and the capability to build efficient communication across teams in various locations.
The position involves close cooperation with the company’s entity in Germany, as well as local and regional finance structures, and direct involvement in development and transformation projects.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Documenting key financial processes, identifying gaps and areas requiring optimization, and proposing improvements aligned with regional and divisional policies.
- Designing and preparing financial processes for the ERP implementation across AR, AP, GL, and Master Data Governance, considering the upcoming transformation.
- Building and implementing key financial controls, ensuring clear accountability and effective communication between local and central teams.
- Working closely with the ERP team during preparation and implementation phases; overseeing operations finance, commercial finance, and master data, as well as identifying and remediating control deficiencies.
- Standardizing reports, KPI summaries, and dashboards for local and regional stakeholders to ensure consistent information management.
- Ensuring effective use of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to support decision-making and business performance monitoring.
- Reviewing and optimizing existing workflows, dashboards, and bridge & reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and data consistency.
Requirements
- Higher education in finance; professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA will be an advantage.
- Experience in a finance leadership or senior controlling role, ideally in an international environment and in organizations with developed process structures.
- Practical experience in change management and project leadership; participation in an ERP implementation will be a strong asset.
- Very good command of English; knowledge of German will be an additional advantage.
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders; maturity in decision-making and operating within matrix structures.
- Strong process orientation, excellent understanding of financial controls and reporting.
- High analytical skills, confidence in working with KPIs, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including regular on-site presence in Germany.
