This role is part of the Finance Systems and Change team – responsible for optimising the finance technology landscape, maintaining day-to-day operations of finance systems across all finance divisions, and driving digitalisation initiatives across the global finance function. The team delivers system enhancements, implements new solutions, and ensures finance systems support both operational excellence and strategic business objectives.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end finance systems projects, from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.
- Deliver projects across reconciliation tools, workflows, general ledger systems, and treasury platforms, enabling both finance-led enhancements and business initiatives.
- Work at the intersection of finance and the wider business, ensuring system changes align with commercial objectives.
- Manage project governance, including steering committees, status reporting, working groups, and RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies).
- Coordinate with Finance Systems and IT teams to ensure robust testing, effective training, and smooth operational transition.
- Document processes, create user guides and training materials, and track project benefits and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Handle initiatives ranging from quick wins to complex transformational projects, contributing to the finance technology transformation roadmap.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience managing finance systems or technology projects end-to-end.
- Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM) and experience in Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project) and workflow automation.
- Strong knowledge of finance systems (GL, reconciliation, consolidation, planning) and finance processes/controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.
- Cloud-based finance systems implementation experience.
- Knowledge of system integration and ETL processes.
- Understanding of change management and user adoption strategies.
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
