Main Characteristic Of The Role
In this role you will ensure accounting processes are efficient and effective while providing high quality financial data that meets the requirements of external and internal stakeholders. You will also provide advice to and support decision‑making by management of the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the finance team, providing guidance, feedback and support to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Manage general accounting and financial controlling, ensuring accurate records in compliance with company principles.
- Oversee credit management and collections, guaranteeing timely recording of receivables and bank transactions.
- Ensure efficient processing of supplier invoices and payments, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle tax, statutory and regulatory reporting, delivering on‑time and accurate submissions.
- Drive process improvements through standardisation and automation, enhancing efficiency within the finance function.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties, to ensure accurate financial information.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights, supporting management decisions and achievement of KPIs.
- Prepare and evaluate business cases and investment proposals, contributing to strategic planning and ad‑hoc projects.
- Optimise cash flow and working capital, ensuring financial stability and supporting business growth.
Role Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written).
- Proven experience in credit management, collections and supplier invoice/payment processing.
- Ability to analyse financial performance, provide insights and support decision‑making through accurate reporting and business case evaluations.
- Skilled in cash flow management and working capital optimisation.
- Experience in implementing internal controls, process standardisation and automation within finance functions, combined with strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Availability to travel (25% of time).
