Position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

For our Client, a real estate developer, we are currently looking for proper candidates for the Finance Manager / Finance Director position based in Warsaw (City Center).

Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position in the development industry. English language at a communication level (speaking and writing) is a must.

Candidate will also be responsible for hands-on analysis, reports, and controlling matters. Experience in financing (cooperation with banks) is important.

Responsibilities

Planning

• Assist in formulating the companys future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
• Develop financial and tax strategies
• Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
• Develop performance measures that support the companys strategic direction

Operations

• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
• Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
• Manage the accounting, human resources, legal, tax, and treasury issues
• Oversee the companys transaction processing systems
• Support decision processes concerning the establishment of new projects

Financial Information

• Preparation of reporting packages for the shareholders
• Report financial results to the board of directors

Risk Management

• Understand and mitigate key elements of the companys risk profile
• Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
• Construct and monitor reliable control systems
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
• Report risk issues to the board of directors
• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

Funding

• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
• Arrange for financing of the projects

Candidate Profile

• Total experience of a minimum of 5 years including at least 2 years in a similar position. Ideally experience in a residential real estate company as Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Finance Director in smaller companies.
• Real estate industry experience is a must; experience in financing (funding, cooperation with banks, loan agreements) is desirable.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting background.
• Very good command of English.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• The candidate should be energetic, enthusiastic, proactive, reliable, a self-starter, and able to deliver tasks independently while cooperating with other team members.
