The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Finance Center of Excellence (COE) Leader (m/f/x)* is responsible for building and leading a strategic Center of Excellence that drives financial innovation, operational excellence, and talent development across the enterprise. This role partners with senior leadership to align financial strategies with business goals and deliver scalable, compliant, and high-impact solutions.
As a Finance COE Leader (m/f/x)*, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading the COE readiness - from organizational design to site build-up and transition of activities
Leading the development and deployment of standardized financial processes, tools, and frameworks across global finance teams
Partnering with Finance and HR leadership to identify capability gaps and build a robust talent pipeline
Driving continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics, automation, and benchmarking
Collaborating with Process Owners to define future state processes, KPIs, and SLAs
Establishing and monitoring KPIs to assess financial performance and operational efficiency
Ensuring compliance with internal controls, GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles
Serving as a thought leader and change agent for finance transformation initiative
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including global exposure
5 years leading transformation and process improvement initiatives
5 years’ Experience mobilizing and launching shared services or COEs
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Strong understanding of financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools
Team-based and collaborative work style, strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Forward-looking, change champion, and strong advocate for transformation
Exceptional project management skills with a track record of managing complex initiatives
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Continuous improvement mindset. Focused on developing creative solutions that drive and influence process improvements in a dynamic-fast moving environment, including prior experience planning and developing strategies for projects that have significant business impact
Experience delivering results in a high intensity, ambiguous environment
Unwavering ethical standards drives excellence
Ability to assess the organization and the talent needs collaboratively to meet profitable growth objectives
Work location: Wrocław, Poland (hybrid)
Travel: May include up to 10 % international
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
