JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Business Partner is a Supply Chain function working closely with Logistics, Customer Service & Planning. The role entails Finance Business Partnering within European Customer Operations team on Logistics matters, partnering with logistics teams located in Katowice, Poland. This role supports all pan-European Finance activities across Transport, Warehousing & Overheads with a direct focus on transportation cost, providing significant exposure to interactions between finance and operations teams. This presents a huge opportunity to unlock value for Unilever by ensuring a robust financial framework and supporting optimization opportunities to drive savings and service improvement. The Junior Finance Manager will work closely with a multi-layered team and report to the European Customer Operations Finance Senior Manager.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

1. Finance business partner for the logistics team.
2. Help in creation of correct and efficient financial processes, ensuring accuracy of accruals, forecasts, and result snapshots.
3. Analyze and explain results, crafting action plans with logistics colleagues and providing visibility on their financial impact.
4. Provide input for regional business cases and support the logistics finance manager in designing EU transport transformational projects.
5. Monitor transport efficiencies and ensure a clear link between operational KPIs and financial results.
6. Analyze operational trends and correlate finance trends to support effective contract design and better Purchase to Pay processes.
7. Support in relevant tendering processes.
8. Assist the central financial team on cyclical processes (forecasting and activity-based costing).
9. Establish proper support for the MCO and Category Finance teams, especially in reporting, result controlling, and performance management.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

1. At least 4 years’ experience in Finance (Controlling, ideally in an FMCG company).
2. Experience in establishing a governance framework that allows prioritization against set business criteria.
3. Experience in Supply Chain Finance will be an added value.
