Join to apply for the Finance Accountant – Investment Reporting role at MetLife Poland.
The role is part of the Investment Accounting and Reporting (IRG) team within Global Securities Accounting & Operations, focusing on reporting, control and oversight of investment activities across the EMEA region. You will work closely with Finance and non‑Finance stakeholders – Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Hedging, Treasury & Middle Office – and provide insights to senior leadership including subregion CEO, CFO and CRO.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Solvency II investment QRTS, analytics and quarterly and annual Solvency II reports.
- Support the preparation of Financial Statements with a focus on investment reporting and disclosures.
- Produce US GAAP, USSTAT and Solvency II investment performance analyses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Collaborate with cross‑country stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, on‑time deliverables.
- Review offshore service provider work, ensuring controls and value‑add focus for fixed income, derivatives, commercial real estate and private equity investments.
- Lead and support ad‑hoc projects (e.g., Solvency II 2023 taxonomy updates, migration to Irish GAAP, IFRS 9 implementation, UK subsidiary migration).
- Develop and maintain robust process controls and documentation.
- Support risk functions through EUC disclosures, KPI reporting and finance data governance stewardship for Solvency II reporting.
- Coordinate with offshore resources in India.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with at least five years of experience in investment reporting, preferably in a global financial institution.
- Exposure to accounting and reporting of diverse asset classes.
- Strong understanding of investment performance drivers and their accounting and reporting implications.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Negotiation skills and ability to influence outcomes with clear, compelling proposals.
Preferred
- Experience with Solvency II reporting for QRTs such as S0602, S0603, S0801, S0802, S0901, S1101, S2902, S3702.
- High personal drive and ability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
- Adaptability to a change‑friendly culture and fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
