Field Service Technician (Electrical / Mechatronics)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our international service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support of company equipment across Central and Eastern Europe, with occasional worldwide assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on company equipment
• Coordinate closely with the Helpdesk team regarding troubleshooting and service planning
• Carry out machine commissioning, customer training, and production support
• Execute on-site assembly work and supervise installations in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as occasional global projects
• Act as a technical advisor for customers and business partners on process- and system-related topics
• Prepare accurate service reports and technical documentation
• Support the spare parts business and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction and retention
• Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency during all service activities

Candidate Profile

• Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline
• Proven hands-on experience in a Field Service Technician or similar service-oriented role
• Strong technical knowledge of:
  • Mechanics
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
• Experience working with EPLAN electrical design software
• Practical experience with PLC systems, including programming, troubleshooting, or commissioning
  • Preferred experience with Siemens and Beckhoff systems
• Good overall IT and software affinity
• Confident user of:
  • MS Office
  • SAP
  • Basic network technologies
• Valid driver’s license (Class B or equivalent)
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and professional customer-oriented attitude
• High willingness to travel internationally
