Field Project Engineer – Senior Engineer

Baker Hughes seeks a Field Project Engineer – Senior Engineer to support the Site team in disciplines related to turbomachinery equipment. The role involves installation, commissioning and ongoing support of gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, turboexpanders and reciprocating compressors.

What you will do:

• Serve as a technical reference point for the Engineering department and for customers during the installation through commercial operation phases.
• Coordinate the resolution of field technical problems and work closely with the Field Service Engineering organization to oversee the implementation of identified solutions.
• Manage resolutions of non‑conformities, identify opportunities for change orders, and release technical documentation in line with installation and commissioning processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering to revise and release as‑built documentation.
• Participate in the Red Flag review process to guide and verify installation team activities and solve technical issues.
• Manage the technical verification of technical packages of installation and commissioning documents.
• Travel to site locations (occasionally) to work with the site team and accelerate issue resolution.
• Mentor employees and promote continuous improvement in current processes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, Control, or Materials).
• Previous experience in installation and commissioning of gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, turboexpanders and reciprocating compressors.
• Strong communication skills with peers, supervisors and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel globally for business purposes.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Problem‑solving and technical reporting skills.
