We are in search of a dynamic and proficient Field Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team based in continental Europe. Your role will be particularly suited for someone with a determined and technical mindset. Your enthusiasm for travel is a significant asset, as you eagerly welcome the opportunity to visit customer sites across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This role involves gaining hands-on experience with our optical cable products, actively engaging with customers, and immersing yourself in the diverse working cultures prevalent throughout the region.
Primary responsibilities encompass:
- Undertaking the role of a self-sufficient field expert for our optical fiber products in the EMEA region, providing technical expertise and assistance.
- Collaborating with global sales and support teams to ensure seamless coordination and effective troubleshooting of technical issues.
- Disseminating comprehensive technical product and application information to internal stakeholders and customers alike.
- Orchestrating the setup and maintenance of customer-specific samples to facilitate training, demonstrations, and product testing.
- Addressing and resolving issues encountered during field operations, including troubleshooting product installations.
- Ensuring meticulous documentation of technical support processes and key account knowledge, readily accessible to the EMEA team.
- Responsively and professionally handling routine product support requests, ensuring timely resolutions within agreed-upon timeframes.
- Initiating proactive change as a catalyst, spearheading cross-departmental projects aimed at enhancing organizational improvements and operational excellence.
You will be required to travel 50% of the time to customer sites across the EMEA region, allowing you to engage directly with customers and gain valuable insights into their unique requirements and working environments.
Required Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in roles such as installer, engineer, or technician, specifically dealing with optical fiber products.
- Proven experience in collaborating with globally dispersed teams.
- Familiarity with cabling and cable management products within the data center (DC) and colocation (Colo) sectors.
- Possession of certifications like Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI), Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP), or Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is considered advantageous.
