Expert Quality Assurance Engineer (EQAE) assures high engineering product quality while collaborating with other competences, as well as the project management, systems, software and hardware engineering. The EQAE supports project teams in the area of being compliant with customer requirements and applicable industry standards (IATF, ASPICE), by coaching and performing audits.

This role monitors quality activities for upcoming sprints and project milestones, reports issues, helps project teams with their investigation to closure, and escalates if needed.

The EQAE role is also expected to capture lessons learned, share knowledge across the organization, and develop ideas for process improvement (including process automation).

Your role:

  • Leads quality activities on one or more projects
  • Defines the quality sampling strategy and authors the Quality Assurance Plan
  • Leads audits and assessments
  • Provides mentoring and status reports to project team
  • Performs assigned tasks, audits, and tracks non-conformances through resolution to closure
  • Participates in software releases. Tracks documentation readiness and approves to deliver.
  • Leads efforts to root cause software Product Complaint Records in conjunction with the associated project team
  • Reports status of quality work products and project KPIs
  • Captures lessons learned, shares knowledge across organization
  • Develops ideas for process improvement

Your background:

  • Engineering Degree required; Business or Engineering preferred
  • Deep understanding of Quality Systems (IATF 16949) and industry standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
  • QMS Internal auditor or ASPICE assessor competency (preferred certification by Intacs)
  • Practical knowledge of quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc.)
  • Potential candidates should have automotive background (preferred experience in quality engineering)
  • Familiarity with Agile and tools like Jira, Confluence
  • Deep understanding of systems, software and hardware development and working across the enterprise
  • Experience from Functional Safety and CyberSecurity is preferred
  • Very good communication, presentation, negotiation and assertiveness skills
  • Fluent in English
