We are looking for a strong Backend Developer who is an expert in Django. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver, independent thinker, and efficient coder who can handle complex software challenges.

Experience with Angular is considered a strong plus, as the project includes an Angular-based frontend.

You will join KOIA a digital-first software house and our Norwegian fintech client. 

Project
You will work on an Accounting Practice Management System, co-owned by three major accounting firms. Once fully onboarded, the system will serve 3,000+ daily enterprise users.

Clients team operates in a small but highly skilled team (5-6 people), aiming to build a more advanced system than competitors with 200+ developers. Their edge? High-quality code, an outstanding team, and a pragmatic approach to development.

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:  

  • Strong expertise in Django (v4.2), including Django Rest Framework, Django Filters, and Celery
  • 5 + years of experience as a Fullstack Developer with Django
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong Python skills, including unit testing with Pytest
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Good understanding of microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows – experience with CircleCI is a plus
  • Proficient in Git (GitHub workflow experience)
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure (fe. Fargate)
  • A driven team player – accountable, responsible, and proactive
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills – clear, concise, and able to collaborate in a low-hierarchy environment
