Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to cloud operations, installation engineering, and technical support? We are seeking a dedicated IT / Azure Cloud Operations Administrator to help manage and optimize our Azure infrastructure. This role focuses on the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and issue resolution of our Azure cloud infrastructure running our standard DHC VISION software. You will engage in a variety of tasks, collaborate with a great team, and enjoy the flexibility to work from anywhere in Poland.
Current Situation
Our company operates an extensive cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure with around 100 virtual instances. DHC develops a standard software (DHC VISION), which is operated both on- premise and in the cloud. We use Azure tools to monitor and manage cloud resources, enabling automated and semi-automated monitoring and reporting. We follow ITIL-aligned processes to maintain high standards of incident management and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). In addition to handling new deployments, updates, and migrations, the responsibilities include various maintenance and change services such as backup recovery and performance tuning. Our Windows operating systems and databases are regularly updated to ensure high performance and stability. We use step-by-step installation processes as well as infrastructure-as-code methods to manage the infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Provisioning of Cloud Infrastructures and Software Installation:
- Perform installations of DHC VISION, including new setups (Green-Field), patches, and migrations.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methods to provision and manage cloud infrastructures.
- Improve and standardize installation processes for the DHC VISION software.
2. System and Software Maintenance:
- Maintain and update Windows operating systems and databases using automated processes.
- Apply patches and hotfixes to ensure system stability and security.
- Optimize database performance through index management and tuning.
3. Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring and Management:
- Implement and utilize Azure monitoring tools for automated monitoring of compute, storage, and network resources.
- Ensure operational readiness and performance of cloud services through proactive monitoring and issue remediation.
4. Incident Management and SLA Adherence:
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues following ITIL-aligned processes.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and meet service expectations.
5. Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly backups with retention periods per customer agreements.
- Automate and conduct recovery tests, generating corresponding reports.
6. Performance Tuning and Log Analysis:
- Analyze log files to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Implement tuning measures to enhance system and database performance.
Your Profile:
System and Software Maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and databases (SQL Server, etc.).
- Experience with patch management and software updates.
- Ability to optimize database performance through indexing and tuning.
Provisioning of Cloud Infrastructures & Software Installation
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Skilled in software installation and configuration.
- Ability to develop standardized procedures for installations.
Azure Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, network).
- Proficient with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).
Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Experience managing Azure backup strategies.
- Ability to automate recovery tests and ensure data integrity.
Incident Management & SLA Adherence
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and quick problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Performance Tuning & Log Analysis
- Proficient in analyzing log files and diagnosing system issues.
- Capable of implementing performance improvements.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration or cloud operations, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar, are highly valued.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
