Join us as an Expense Administration Team Leader

Expense Administration is responsible for preparation, review and delivery of budgets, TER, VAT filing, fund events and any other reporting in accordance with accounting standards and clients’ expectations. The team has a client facing role and services clients from all around the world. The team utilizes newest technology solutions allowing for process automation and works closely with many internal departments and external stakeholders (management companies, investment managers and auditors) which gives a great opportunity to learn about investment funds and the way they operate.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day provision of Expense Administration services and will oversee Expense Administration Supervisors, Seniors and Representatives.

Reporting to Expense Administration manager you will provide key assistance to the business, ensuring accurate task allocation and workload to the team members.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Management of preparation of monthly / quarterly deliverables i.e., budgets, TER, VAT filing, fund events and other reporting
  • Oversee of daily work performed by the team for completeness, accuracy and compliance with current policies and procedures
  • Allocates client related services appropriately to each Expense Administration Supervisor and other team members
  • Responsibility for communication to clients / key stakeholders and senior management
  • Acting as a key client contact, ensuring timely and accurate responses to any client queries
  • Responsibility for coaching and developing team members
  • Building robust escalation path and information flow within the department
  • Setting right tone from the top in terms of process transformation and improvements
  • Providing appropriate feedback via periodic meetings and the firm’s performance appraisal process
  • Assisting in projects within Expense Administration Department including standardization and workload optimization to improve the efficiency, quality and accuracy of deliverables

Desired Qualifications:

  • Primary degree in accounting / banking and finance / economics related discipline
  • Minimum of 7+ years experience in expense administration, accounting or finance
  • People management experience is a must (minimum 2 people management)
  • Prior experience in client service
  • Prior experience in investment funds industry will be an asset
  • Strong reviewing skills and risk aware mindset
  • Proven ability to manage and complete a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Highly computer literate with strong Excel and Word skills
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills
