As part of the ETF Americas Research team, you will provide data and analytical support to the Global ETF Business with a focus on Competitive Analysis, Return‑Based Data & Analytics, Portfolio Analysis, and Ad‑Hoc Team Support such as RFP/DDQs.

What You Will Be Responsible For
Competitive Analysis
- Production of Morningstar Side by Side comparisons
- Providing thoughtful reasoning and building an investment case for a client to use a SPDR ETF versus other exposures
- Production of Universe comparison in Morningstar vs competition both ETF and active funds
Return‑Based Data & Analytics
- Production of Return Based Returns reports
- Providing data sets to clients such as holdings, returns streams, fundamental characteristics, and other ad hoc requests
Portfolio Analysis
- Production of the SPDR signature Portfolio Insights and Analysis, an in‑depth look into our client’s portfolio construction featuring valuable insights to areas of weakness and potential risk
Thought Leadership and Ad Hoc Projects
- Providing thought leadership content within the ETF Americas Research, analysis, white papers, commentary, and other data‑oriented requests
- Building automated data‑feeds for monthly and quarterly updates of index comparisons documents, standard presentations
- Efficiently gathering and processing large data sets to achieve valuable insights and setting scalable processes around it
- Ad‑hoc projects required to further business goals of the organization
Requests For Proposals, Due Diligence Questionnaires (RFPs/DDQs)
- Completing RFPs and DDQs in regards to US SDPR ETFs
- Reaching out to relevant stakeholders across the organization (e.g. Portfolio Managers, Treasury, Legal, Compliance) to obtain needed information

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience requirement: at least 2–5 years working in a financial institution or a finance‑specific industry
- Strong written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint. Computer literacy is essential; Excel is particularly important as roles often involve financial modelling and projection work.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, and Zephyr preferred
- Previous experience with ETFs is desirable
- Commitment to further study and qualifications (e.g., CFA, studying for CFA designation, or data management qualification)
- Microsoft Excel VBA and programming skills
- Awareness of risks associated with investing
- Maintaining knowledge of market and economic issues
