Jacobs is looking for an Environmental Permitting Project Manager , for the technical and managing support to exciting projects for a range of diverse client sectors, such as Industrial, Real Estate, Infrastructures, Energy, in Poland and abroad.

By joining Jacobs you’ll be able to develop and cover a key role, with the opportunity to support the environmental permitting & compliance practice, working in a synergic cooperation with Jacobs engineering and other disciplines, with the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health procedures;
  • Managing activities related to the development of whole life cycle of Environmental, Permitting, Health and Safety (EHS) services, including scope development, budget and schedule preparation, subcontractor coordination, site visits, reporting;
  • Interacting with Public Authorities and other project stakeholders;
  • Being proactively involved in developing project delivery strategies;
  • Conducting compliance audits and due diligence assessments of industrial and infrastructure facilities or new development projects;
  • Supporting H&S related tasks, focused on internal compliance and continuous improvement, as well as client services;
  • Defining, maintaining, and monitoring project specific procedures and quality assurance plans;
  • Providing project reporting and forecasting against the project programs as per client and internal requirements;
  • Reviewing and implementing project delivery strategies that meet company objectives;
  • Establishing and managing the budget for project delivery;
  • Responding to customer feedback;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

  • Ability to work in the office or in a hybrid model (project dependent).

Heres what youll need:

  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Geography, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related disciplines;
  • 7+ years of experience in environmental and permitting projects, preferably for multinational private or large local companies, in energy, industrial, chemical, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors;
  • Familiarity with environmental operating permit applications, including, but not limited to, EIA, IPPC, and similar;
  • Habit of working in international environments and on multi-office projects, and cooperating with the engineering team and internal/external specialists;
  • Expertise in energy, sustainability and ESG consulting is considered a strong plus;
  • Leadership, commitment, and strong technical background;
  • Provide personnel with the support and mentoring necessary to ensure the highest degree of professional performance;
  • Excellent written, communication and organizational skills and excellent oral, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent problem solving and team working skills including being able to rapidly engage with a team;
  • Fluent English language knowledge;
  • High level of Safety Awareness;
  • H&S Trainings and certifications are considered as a plus.
