We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a leading manufacturing company operating within an international structure.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the HSE and Sustainability agenda at a production site near Kraków. The position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on management, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, corporate standards, and global ESG goals while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HSE team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement HSE and ESG strategies in line with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise the Plant Management Team on risks, opportunities, and performance in HSE and ESG areas.
  • Ensure compliance with Polish legislation, EU directives, and internal HSE standards.
  • Oversee risk assessments, incident investigations, permits‑to‑work, and emergency response processes.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and drive initiatives to reduce accidents and occupational health risks.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives in energy efficiency, waste reduction, emissions control, and resource optimization.
  • Ensure accuracy of ESG reporting and alignment with global sustainability goals.
  • Supervise fire safety and emergency response systems, procedures, and drills in cooperation with external authorities.
  • Build engagement and ownership across the organization through training, coaching, and employee involvement in HSE and ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
  • NEBOSH Certification.
  • Proven expertise in process safety, ATEX, ergonomics, Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and practical problem‑solving.
  • 10+ years of HSE experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role within an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Polish HSE regulations, EU standards, and ESG systems.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Demonstrated achievements in building a safety culture and driving continuous improvement.
  • Languages: fluent Polish and English.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of specialists.
  • Strategic Thinking: Balancing regulatory compliance with a long‑term sustainability vision.
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive communication with production employees, site leadership, and external stakeholders; excellent presentation skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to influence across departments and organizational levels.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive, analytical, and solution‑oriented approach to HSE and ESG challenges.
