Job Description:

Ronbay Technology (Ningbo Ronbay Lithium Battery Material Co., Ltd.), a multinational company in the high-tech new energy materials industry, is seeking an experienced Environment, Health & Safety Manager for our new cathode materials factory JS Energy Europe in Konin, Poland.

About the Role

As EHS Manager, reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to establish and lead the EHS function through the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of the plant.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement the EHS strategy, policies, and procedures in compliance with legal and company requirements.
2. Ensure compliance with Seveso III and environmental regulations, including preparing safety reports and permits.
3. Design and deliver EHS strategy and training programs tailored to the new chemical battery materials plant.
4. Manage EHS inductions, medicals, and training programs for staff, focusing on process safety.
5. Lead Occupational Health, Ergonomics, and Emergency Response Programs.
6. Support commissioning and approve the introduction of chemicals for the new plant.
7. Promote a safe working environment through risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure lessons are applied.
9. Create and analyze EHS KPIs, ensuring timely reporting and driving improvements.
10. Build a strong safety culture and develop the EHS team.

Qualifications

1. Master’s degree and postgraduate studies in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) according to Polish law requirement.
2. More than 10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing site, including 5+ years in a managerial role responsible for safety and environmental protection.
3. Industry background of powder materials industry, pharmaceutical industry, cosmetics industry, or food industry is preferred.
4. Expert knowledge of health & safety and environmental regulations.
5. Proven experience in implementing safety standards and norms and driving awareness and engagement.
6. Strong leadership skills and experience in managing EHS team.
7. Fluent in Polish and English with excellent communication skills.
