Role Overview:
We are going through an exciting period of change and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Squad Lead to join our Quality Engineering team. As an Engineering Squad Lead, you are a technical leader as well as a line manager, encompassing a practitioner responsibility and leadership of the engineers to deliver customer outcomes and opportunities for our business. You will be expected to work with autonomy on complex features and support, guide and mentor other engineers throughout the whole development lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Considerable experience within the experience/appreciation/understanding of developing software with quality.
- Broad understanding of the IT industry, markets, trends, emerging technologies, and their implications for retail organisations
- Understanding of the banner imperatives and service requirements of retail or similar organisations.
- Experience of shaping, motivating, and driving change within a large, complex, matrix and fast-moving environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management & influencing skills at all levels of the organisation with great communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Effective and creative problem-solving and decision-making with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity to quickly identify simple/effective solutions.
- Talented people leader, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, and teaching, whilst developing a pipeline of future talent
