About the role:

Xperi seeks a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Operations Director to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of nearly 300 professionals and talented engineers, ensuring smooth project execution, and driving the development of our TiVo OS. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in embedded software development, hardware, and frontend technologies, with proven experience in the TV industry, including broadcast, certifications, application onboarding, and collaboration with ODMs and OEMs.

What You Will Do:

• Oversee projects and activities, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Provide technical leadership in embedded software development, hardware, and front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop our TV operating system.
• Ensure quality, performance, user experience, and industry compliance.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, ODMs, and OEMs.
• Address technical and process challenges with clear feedback.
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
• Work closely with Global Senior Leadership to influence TiVo OS and other products.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Proven leadership in cross-functional engineering teams and business transformation initiatives.
• Strong technical skills in embedded software, hardware, and frontend technologies.
• Deep understanding and experience in the TV industry, including broadcast, certifications, and content onboarding.
• Experience working with ODMs and OEMs.

• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to US West Coast time zones.

• Higher education in a relevant field, preferably with postgraduate qualifications or an MBA in project management.
