We are in the UK, France, and Germany, and the new Poland location serves as a global engineering and product development hub alongside our headquarters in Redwood City, California. Enterprise Activity Management is part of Boxs Enterprise Engineering organization. Our main customers are 200K+ enterprise admins who configure Box apps, onboard and migrate users, set permissions, and run reports. Our team focuses on two major domains: Insights & Reports and Users & Groups.
Who You Are
- Ideally, you have over 2 years of experience as a software engineering manager, leading teams responsible for high-scale production services.
- You possess at least 5 years of professional software development experience, contributing to full-stack web applications and/or distributed systems.
- You excel at aligning and executing new technical ideas, with an understanding of best practices.
- You have proven experience driving effective execution with Agile processes in a dynamic environment.
- You are a people-oriented leader who models and fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- You are exceptional at communication, passionate about technology, and committed to raising the bar.
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones is advantageous.
- Proficient in English.
Bonus Points
- Hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native architecture for AWS, GCP, or similar.
- Passion for open source and staying abreast of community developments.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of experienced engineers in Poland.
- Define the teams roadmap, execution plans, and own project delivery.
- Develop team members through 1:1s, career planning, coaching discussions, and hiring.
- Uphold values by building a collaborative, inclusive team focused on customer impact.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence with emphasis on execution, quality, and scale.
- Organize stand-ups, sprint planning, technical discussions, and manage sprint task statuses.
- Collaborate with product teams to scope new features, provide project estimates, and inform quarterly commitments.
- Work with cross-functional partners to ensure the team delivers significant business impact.
- Manage and coordinate the team’s on-call rotation to ensure timely incident response, participate in escalated on-call incidents, and drive improvements to minimize disruptions.
- Represent Box internally and externally.
