To deliver on our corporate purpose of making a wonderful sound part of everyone’s life, WS Audiology is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager, E-commerce to become a member of the global Digital Platform Development team.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll manage a team of back-end and front-end engineers, a combination of in-house and outsourced. You will provide leadership, advice, guidance, and support to the team in all development tasks, ensuring alignment of strategy and activities with all other development streams.

You’ll also:

1. Participate in software design, development, and implementation using relevant eCommerce platforms, specifically Magento, implementing best practices in technology, features, performance, and scalability.
2. Participate in assessment activities for new projects, features, and tools, providing input from the engineering point of view, possible challenges, and time estimates, and assist the team in allocating the right resources for better budget planning.
3. Continuously analyze the existing technical landscape to foresee upcoming challenges, providing solutions in problematic areas and tracking the suggested solutions.
4. Mentor junior team members and ensure that the software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design reviews.

What you bring

We’re looking for candidates who possess:

1. 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams, including people management experience.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in eCommerce development projects using leading e-commerce platforms like Magento, Shopify, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
3. Experience in the full software development cycle, from planning to deployment.
4. Experience in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP7) and OOP, with knowledge of design patterns.
5. Experience in web server stack is highly beneficial: Apache, Varnish, Redis, Ubuntu Server.
