We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who wants to be a part of our product mission and will drive the culture & execution of our engineering teams. 2y+ experience as an engineering manager of 1-2 teams, 6-7 people, full management responsibility (recruiting, hiring, performance management, technical execution)
5y+ of former hands‑on senior software engineer experience in modern SaaS startups/scale‑ups
Senior level technical engineering depth - full‑stack, customer facing, large scale distributed systems, modern web architecture, infrastructure as a code
Proficiency in coding (ability to leverage modern AI codegen is required), commercial experience with modern programming languages (Go, statically typed languages – .NET, Java)
Proven track of delivering impactful technical solutions hands‑on and through the team
Experience working directly with stakeholders and customers, great technical communication, ability to deliver short‑term solutions while keeping long‑term horizon
Passion for great product, pragmatic design and amazing developer experience
You deeply care about people and want the best for everyone around you
You do not leave things unowned and do not wait for someone to ask you to do something – you have a history of proactive initiatives that you led to success, sometimes against all odds
The role is 50/50 of individual contributor work and technical leadership role
Individual contributor: staying on top of daily execution and being close to technical execution, navigate team through technical unknowns partnering with principal engineers, acting as a strong senior engineer if needed, across the full stack, from design to infrastructure, while championing AI usage for productivity
Technical leadership: strategical thinking, have a product mindset and ability to empower the team with trust, passion and drive, partner up with and influence the principal/staff guild
Own all aspects of team’s technical execution (planning, prototyping, timelines, deliverables, launch, observability, maintenance, customer love)
Translating overarching product and technical vision and form a strategy for the team(s) with OKRs, roadmaps and tech specs
Shaping engineering organisation by identifying bottlenecks, opportunities and full hiring and performance management cycle of the team(s)
Experience partnering with product and design team to come up with effective milestones and deliver value to our customers in weeks, not months through technical innovation (API‑first products, self‑service, data intelligence)
