Job Overview:

TeaCode is in search of an experienced, self-driven, people-first leader to our Engineering Team. Putting it simple: your main objective will be to help the dev teams deliver successful projects. You will be able to achieve this by keeping them organized, result focused and motivated. Apart from project oversight, you will have a chance to recruit new members into our company, support them in their career growth, and help grow a top-notch team.

Requirements:

• Educational Background : A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in Engineering Management:  Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a track record of managing successful engineering teams.
• Technical Proficiency:  Strong technical background with experience in the specific technologies used by TeaCode. Capable of understanding and contributing to technical discussions, with hands-on coding ability. TeaCode’s tech stack: 
• JavaScript/TypeScript,
• Node.js,
• React.js,
• Next.js,
• Nest.js,
• AWS
• Leadership and People Management:  Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team of engineers. Experience in career planning, coaching, and promoting team members.
• Recruitment and Team Building:  Skilled in headcount planning, hiring, and assembling high-performing teams. Ability to foster a positive team culture and engage in team-building activities.
• Project and Delivery Management:  Experience in planning, executing, and delivering engineering projects. Capable of setting clear objectives, managing performance, and providing constructive feedback.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to effectively cascade communications and engage in productive one-on-ones with team members.
• Decision-Making and Problem-Solving:  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to participate in and guide technical decisions.
• Team Advocacy and Support:  Committed to the protection and happiness of the team, with strategies to ensure team well-being and address issues.
• Performance Metrics and Productivity:  Ability to track and improve team productivity using relevant metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Skilled in aligning with other Managers and collaborating across departments to achieve company objectives.
• Adaptability and Continuous Learning:  Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends, and to continuously develop personal and professional skills.
• Business Acumen:  Understanding of how engineering decisions impact business objectives and overall company strategy.
• Languages:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Polish.
