The platform is the heart of our remote gaming system, managing billions of transactions a month, allowing our games to operate across hundreds of casino sites in various jurisdictions.



Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:

1. Leading and mentoring the team (developers and QA) that builds our core backend platform.
2. Own all technical aspects of the platform, ensuring alignment with our business goals and acting as a point of contact for architecture and cross-functional initiatives.
3. Communicate and deliver the technical vision of our projects to the business at a high level and the team at an operational level.
4. Ensure the quality of the team’s deliveries, making sure all changes are duly covered by comprehensive testing.
5. Understand the broader context of the team, build business domain knowledge on how the platform is used in production, and help set the technical roadmap to ensure constant improvements in scalability, efficiency, security, observability, and cost-effectiveness.
6. Scope complex tasks and projects, breaking them down into smaller tangible tasks that can be easily taken up by others on the team.
7. Partner with Product and Project Managers to assist with decisions around prioritization, execution, work division, planning, goal setting, and tech-debt management.
8. Work with developers to grow their technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills, ensuring they have the right challenges and necessary context to use them.
9. Help strengthen the team by leveraging (or introducing) frameworks and practices around project management, technical decision making, and communication practices.
10. Be responsible for recruitment, retention, and effectiveness of the team.
11. Lead incident management efforts on the platform, from investigation to resolution.
12. Actively contribute to the codebase.

What Makes You A Strong Candidate:

1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 3+ years leading software engineering teams in a high-paced environment.
3. 7+ years of Java experience in the development of high volume, high availability backend systems, ideally in a microservices-based setup.
4. Knowledge of cloud computing and experience working with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
5. Experience with both Relational DBs (MySQL is a plus) and NoSQL DBs.
6. Working knowledge of Spring, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, REST API, dependency management tools, Gitlab CI / Jenkins.
7. A proper understanding of the skills required in working in a remote environment, leading and communicating with people spread across multiple countries.
8. Experience in the iGaming industry is highly desirable.
9. Upper-Intermediate English.
