Mercedes-Benz Vans is a successful manufacturer of premium light commercial vehicles (LCV) for customers and markets worldwide. Our purpose is “to move transportation to the next level” and to define the LCV business of the future: with CO2‑neutrality and focused on connectivity and digital solutions. We have decided to expand our battery‑electric LCV production capacity and implement an entirely new plant next to our existing Mercedes‑Benz production facility in Jawor. • Electrical planning /project coordination of new production equipment in greenfield project (body / paint / assembly shop)
• Plan and document equipment requirements, specification documents and support RfQ processes within process planners
• Define and prepare planning options and alternatives, evaluate cost‑efficiencies and provide analysis of both
• Supervise planning, engineering and commissioning of controls equipment until final buy‑offs of equipment
• Plan and introduce measures to follow/meet legal requirements for the protection of the environment
• Follow and ensure all affected rules, policies and laws concerning safety and cyber security
• Creating and checking of technical documentation and specifications
• Coach and train local electrical planners within the project organization
• Collaboration within Engineering and further stakeholders (Production, Maintenance, IT, etc.) in MB Vans and MBC

Defining concepts for structured standardization and modularization of the control technology details and interfaces lying within the areas of responsibility on basis of valid norms, regulations and laws including the newest developments.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: University degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Automation & Controls or similar
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in controls engineering in a manufacturing setting – equipment planning with integra standard
• Ability to work with a team, high social and cross‑functional communicative skills for dealing with internal/external partners
• Proficiency in Siemens S7/TIA controls systems, PLC programming, Robotics and/or further production technologies
• Ability to speak fluent English and German; ability to speak Polish would be an advantage
• Willingness to relocate to Poland for several years
