We are seeking a skilled Energy Storage System Engineer (m/f/d) for our operations in Poland. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing energy storage systems. This role involves working closely with customers and project teams to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our energy storage solutions.

The company is active in the smart grid, new energy, and energy storage sectors. They sell products and services including smart meters, power consumption information collection systems, advanced metering architecture solutions, and intelligent power distribution products.

Tasks

  • Energy Storage System Diagnostics and Repair: Identify and resolve technical issues in the operation of batteries, inverters, energy management systems (EMS), and communication between devices.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Monitor energy storage performance, analyze operational data, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency or extend system life.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical advice, conduct customer training, and collaborate with sales, design, and operations teams.
  • Maintenance Supervision: Organize and supervise maintenance schedules to prevent potential failures, ensuring the efficiency and safety of the devices.
  • Software Updates and System Configurations: Perform regular updates and adaptations of the EMS and energy storage software.

Requirements

  • Technical Education: Preferably in fields such as electrical engineering, energy engineering, automation, or related. Knowledge of energy storage technology, including the design, operation, and technology of lithium-ion batteries, BESS systems, and devices working with the power grid. Familiarity with EMS and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CANbus).
  • Service Experience: Ability to diagnose and repair technical problems and knowledge of service procedures in the energy storage environment.
  • Data Analysis and System Optimization: Ability to process and interpret operational data and implement changes to improve efficiency.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Willingness to work directly with customers and business partners and communicate complex technical information in an understandable manner.
  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel to installation or service sites of energy storage systems, mostly in Poland, Bulgaria, and Lithuania.
  • English Language Skills: Due to the international nature of the job, the ability to communicate in English is often required.
