Energy Markets and Hedging Expert (K/M/X)

• Develop and implement hedging and market access strategies to manage exposure to volatile energy commodity prices across all EIS companies in Poland.
• Identify and quantify price exposure for fuels and electricity, proposing actions to mitigate financial risk.
• Design commercial strategies to maximize the economic performance of heat and power generation assets.
• Evaluate opportunities for district heating systems to integrate with renewable or flexible energy sources (solar, wind, electricity) to enhance commercial value and support system flexibility.
• Define and execute strategies for participation in wholesale electricity, gas, and flexibility markets, securing favorable supply and sales conditions.
• Interface with external and internal market service providers (including traders, aggregators, and market platforms) to optimize market access, bidding, and participation.
• Support bidding strategies for capacity, demand response, and relevant flexibility services/ products.
• Continuously monitor market trends, regulations, and technological developments to identify new business opportunities for EIS assets.
• Collaborate with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs) to develop services that provide system flexibility and balancing capabilities.
• Build and maintain a portfolio of commercial opportunities based on regulatory evolution, price trends, and asset capabilities.
• Assess and recommend the use of advanced digital tools (predictive analytics, digital twins, EMS) to improve position monitoring, forecasting and economic decision-making.

As an Energy Markets and Hedging Expert, you will be responsible for the commercial and economic optimization of E.ON EIS Polska’s group generation assets.

Your work will focus on developing energy market strategies, mitigating commodity price risks, and ensuring our assets capture full value from energy and flexibility markets.
