EMEAI MRO Procurement Lead — ADM
Location: Poznan (Kolorowa 6)
The EMEAI MRO Category Leader is responsible for the strategic sourcing support of MRO, capital equipment, labor and spare parts for use in operations facilities. You partner with engineering, operations and business partners to develop and execute long‑term procurement strategies aligned with business goals. As the EMEAI MRO Category Specialist you support a Global Procurement Category Leader with supply strategy through market intelligence, sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and supplier performance management and report to the EMEAI MRO/Capex Category Manager.
You also support the development of procurement deliverables in ADM’s global Capital Project Management process to ensure stakeholder engagement on the adoption of FEL (Front End Loading) Capex project execution, data‑centered decision making, effective supply decisions and supplier accountability for delivery, quality and service expectations. The EMEAI MRO Category Leader prepares non‑disclosure agreements, requests for quotes/proposals and agreements specific to MRO/Capex. In addition, you manage supplier relationships with key equipment suppliers to deliver long‑term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and define MRO/CAPEX sourcing strategies that reduce cost, mitigate risk and improve supplier performance.
- Ensure sourcing strategies remain aligned with long‑term business objectives.
- Lead procurement activities within the FEL (Front End Loading) process in partnership with the CAPEX Procurement Lead and project teams.
- Use market intelligence, business objectives and spend analyses to identify strategic options and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs for qualified suppliers.
- Act as the primary negotiator on pricing, terms, quality and service.
- Negotiate, develop and implement contractual frameworks in close cooperation with the Legal department.
- Document and manage supplier expectations, deliverables and key performance indicators (QBRs).
- Work with internal stakeholders, SMEs, contractors, engineers and suppliers to manage contract execution, delivery and invoicing, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Integrate e‑procurement best practices across all procurement processes.
Profile
- 6+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in MRO/CAPEX procurement.
- Proven experience in MRO initiatives, investment project purchasing is an advantage and strong knowledge of commercial terms and contract law.
- Experience within the food industry (e.g., sugar, oilseeds) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Understanding different contract models and experience in operational project environments.
- Strong negotiation skills and a customer‑oriented approach.
- Experience in cost/benefit analysis, market analysis, and alternative decision‑making.
- Proficiency with eProcurement and P2P systems and standard office applications.
- Interest in strategy development and strong project/task management skills.
- Global awareness of cultural, economic and geopolitical factors; commitment to continuous improvement.
- Advanced English; Polish or German is an advantage.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and achieve results through strong relationship management.
