EMEA/UK Regional Leader - Global Emergency Operations Center

Join Aon as the EMEA/UK Regional Leader in our Global Emergency Operations Center. This full‑time hybrid role offers the flexibility to work virtually and from our Krakow office and requires occasional evenings and weekends as situations arise. Aon is a 24/7 distributed team that follows a “follow‑the‑sun” framework.

What the day will look like

Oversee the day‑to‑day operational workflow and deliverables for the EMEA/UK Regional team. Conduct complex assignments, lead incident responses and emergency preparedness activities, and provide in‑depth research and analysis to support Aon’s risk and security framework.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of escalation for the EMEA/UK region for any matters reported into GEOC.
  • Manage broad & complex global incidents, emergency notification systems, escalation notifications and coordinate follow‑up actions during emergencies and major business interruptions.
  • Contribute to the development, reassessment and upkeep of GEOC’s position in the company‑wide risk management framework (policy, standards, guides, SOPs, playbooks, blocking issue protocols, etc.).
  • Oversee application of emergency notification systems.
  • Provide 24/7/365 assistance to colleagues and the business over the phone, e‑mail and in person to ensure effective and timely resolution when incidents occur; participate in 24/7/365 coverage basis and backfill vacant shift slots as needed.
  • Monitor intelligence activity and supporting intelligence assessments to determine potential risks and threats to the business.
  • Assist in establishing methodologies to solve analytical problems when raw unfinished data contain information gaps and require validation.
  • Deliver metrics and measurements supporting program evolution and validation as needed.
  • Develop relationships with internal team members and private/public sector entities responsible for threat‑related operations, threat monitoring, crisis management and response.
  • Apply GEOC’s onboarding and training standards with the assistance of other GEOC regional leads and the Global Head, Global Emergency Operations Center.
  • Lead team coordination of GEOC engagements, service level agreements, process adherence, goal achievement, and quality delivery.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success

  • 4‑year degree – focus in Emergency Management, Homeland Security or a related field a plus.
  • 4‑6+ years of experience administering emergency response programs; managing emergency notification platforms a plus.
  • 3‑5+ years of emergency operations center experience.
  • 1‑3+ years of vendor platform integration experience.
  • Advanced skills with Excel or other database manipulation tools.
  • Track record of courteous and professional behavior when engaging with colleagues and interested parties.
  • Ability to effectively influence the behaviors and decisions of others.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and complete tasks in a dynamic environment, including adapting to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
