As a member of the Onshore Wind Due Diligence team, the candidate manages and executes independent engineering and technical advisory services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of wind projects across different countries. Within a TDD process, the candidate handles internal and external coordination of project fulfillment, close follow-up with customers from kick‑off meetings to invoicing, respects project timelines, ensures profitability targets, checks customer satisfaction, and channels internal improvement areas. Collaborate with the Sales Team, participate in customer meetings to bring technical expertise, support proposal preparation, and showcase technical topics in articles, online publications, customer training, or live events.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and executing technical due diligence processes to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of wind and solar projects and portfolios, including site overview, turbine technology review, civil and electrical design review, review of commercial and technical contracts (TSA, BOP, O&M, TCMA, PPA, etc.), project schedule, environmental and permitting process, financial model (DEVEX, CAPEX, OPEX), and site visits.
  • Compile and complete TDD reports and summarize key results and conclusions, ensuring quality of work that meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Perform site visits during construction and operation and review progress against technical specifications, budget, and milestone schedule, compiling and reviewing site visit reports and monthly construction monitoring reports.
  • Prepare proposals detailing scope of work, team, budget, and schedule for completion.
  • Work with customers as the main client interface, attend client meetings with lenders and developers, and engage clients and internal staff to develop creative solutions with exceptional customer service and growing relationships.
  • Manage and schedule internal resources and external individuals to ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget.
  • Prepare communication plan and related project status reports; facilitate and lead regular status meetings with internal project team, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Represent UL Solutions at conferences and business development meetings, ensuring best practices and applying lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Mentor and train junior staff and assume responsibility for the internal growth of the team.
  • Work with multi‑disciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, and issues and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Support the business strategy and development for the advisory due diligence team.

Qualifications

  • At least +8 years of experience as a project manager in wind due diligence, project development, construction, equipment supply, operation or mergers and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrable experience handling utility scale wind projects with experience on site overview, design, familiar with review of typical contracts (TSA, BOP, O&M, PPAs, etc.) and financial model.
  • Good understanding of wind technology and other main equipment in the BOP of a wind project, including typical KPIs and high‑level understanding of energy modelling for wind projects.
  • Good understanding of the local wind market with a high degree of connection with key stakeholders in the local wind industry.
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability; ready to work under pressure and exigent delivery dates and successfully manage multiple complicated projects.
  • Highly motivated, with a versatile personality and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, with senior stakeholder reporting and escalation experience.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment.
  • Demonstrable experience on solar and/or BESS would be considered as a plus.
  • At least bachelors‑level education and core competence in a relevant field (mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, operations and maintenance, commercial, legal, finance). Master in Renewable Energy related aspects is considered as beneficial.
  • Language skills: English is a must; other language skills (Polish, Spanish, French, Italian, German) will be of high interest.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user (Word, Excel) and good predisposition for new technologies and digital solutions.
