EMEA Senior Logistics Buyer @ Aptiv

Responsibilities

• Prepare requests for quote for freight and warehousing services
• Analyze the quotes and negotiate contracts with logistic providers for EMEA Aptiv Plants
• Ensure that all logistic requirements from operations are covered and comply with Logistics Operating System
• Ensure that all sourcing projects are entered in Application
• Ensure that all services are covered with contracts and service level agreements
• Comply with Internal Control rules
• Maintain all rates and agreements in the dedicated data bases
• Manage relationships and conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers
• Support divisional teams in analyses of the logistics cost studies
• Perform optimization analysis to improve operations/flows (incl. inventory cost and takt time analyses in case of warehousing operations)
• Achieve logistics cost savings goal for the Region

Your Background

• University degree in economics, logistics or engineering
• Min. 6 years of experience in sourcing including logistic services
• Knowledge of logistic cost calculation for various transport modes
• Knowledge of the regional transportation market
• Knowledge of contract logistics
• Good knowledge of data analytics tools: excel, Tableau, etc.
• Fluent English (German or Spanish will be an advantage)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good data analytical skills
