You will work on embedded firmware and low-level system software for cutting-edge programmable Ethernet switches. This role involves close collaboration with hardware and software teams to bring new features to life in high-performance networking devices.

By joining us, you become a member of the Embedded Competence Center at Sii, an internal organizational unit, bringing together more than 500 specialists nationwide! We are currently working on about 100 projects for 50 clients from various industries, including automotive, IoT, telecommunications, and medical.

Your tasks

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for programmable switches
• Work with hardware teams on board bring-up and system validation
• Debug and optimize hardware–software interactions
• Write and maintain automated tests for firmware components
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in a similar position
• Strong experience in C/C++ and Python development under Linux
• Proven track record in programming complex HW devices/systems
• Understanding of SoC architectures, memory management, and interrupt handling
• Familiarity with real-time OS concepts and embedded Linux build systems (Yocto, Buildroot)
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English (everyday communication)
• Self-learner, proactive, and strong team collaborator
• Residing in Poland required

Nice to have

• Knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART)
• Experience with board bring-up, BSP development, or firmware debugging
