In our team, we are mainly responsible for designing and implementing custom Linux distros (using the Yocto build system). We oversee all the steps from the low-level elements such as BSP (Board support packages) - bootloader, kernel, the entire board bring-up process, to all the higher-level elements such as core userspace services (systemd, openssh, busybox, etc.) configuration or in-house application integration. We put great emphasis on security. Therefore, on each of the mentioned levels, we perform security checks and hardening of most of the Linux system elements. Additionally, we are responsible for the dockerised building environment for all of our distro codebase.
