Embedded Electronics Engineer (TI AM62 / Embedded Linux)
We’re looking for a hands‑on Embedded Electronics Engineer who can own both board‑level hardware design and low‑level embedded software on our next‑generation platforms.
You’ll work primarily with Texas Instruments AM62 (or similar Sitara family) processors, embedded Linux, and custom PCBs designed in Altium.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop custom PCBs for our drones and launch systems:
- Schematic design in Altium Designer
- PCB layout (high‑speed digital + mixed‑signal)
- Creating and managing BOMs and component selection
- Work with TI AM62 / similar ARM processors and surrounding circuitry (power, memory, connectivity, sensors, etc.).
- Bring up new boards: boot, test, and debug hardware in the lab (scope, logic analyzer, JTAG).
- Develop and maintain embedded C code running on our platforms (bare‑metal and/or embedded Linux user‑space).
- Work closely with our firmware, AI, and mechanical teams to integrate new features into production systems.
- Support the full product lifecycle: prototype → validation → production.
Must‑have qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in embedded electronics / embedded systems engineering (or strong project/academic equivalent).
- Strong experience with C for embedded systems.
- Practical experience with embedded Linux on ARM (boot, configuration, debugging).
- Hands‑on experience with Texas Instruments AM62 or similar TI Sitara / ARM Cortex‑A processors (e.g., board bring‑up, BSP work, or system design).
- Solid experience with Altium Designer:
- Schematic capture
- PCB layout
- BOM creation and component management
- Ability to read and understand datasheets, reference designs, and hardware application notes.
- Comfortable debugging hardware in the lab (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, etc.).
- Willingness to work on‑site full‑time in our Kraków office.
Nice to have (preferred)
- Experience writing drivers for embedded solutions:
- Bare‑metal / RTOS‑level drivers for microcontrollers and peripherals.
- Experience with power electronics and battery‑powered systems (DC‑DC converters, power sequencing, etc.).
- Experience with wireless modules (LTE/5G, Wi‑Fi, LoRa, etc.).
- Experience with designing for manufacturability and working with PCB manufacturers/assemblers.
- Interest in drones, robotics, or aerospace.
What we offer
- Opportunity to work on real hardware that flies and is used by first responders and defense customers.
- A chance to shape the electronics architecture of a fast‑growing, high‑impact product.
- Small, highly technical team with short decision paths and lots of ownership.
- Path to ESOP shares in the company.
- On‑site work in our Kraków office and lab, close to the hardware and testing environments.
