Electrical System Engineer

We are looking for Electrical System Engineer to join our team in Gdańsk.

About company:

Archer provides oil and drilling services and also cooperates with customers in the oil and gas industry. The engineering office in Gdańsk was established in 2022 and is developing dynamically. The Polish branch of Archer is located in the Alchemia office complex in Gdańsk Oliwa. We have a modern and comfortable office with a great view and a well-stocked canteen. Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Responsible for the Main Power Supply Package Specification, detailing the technical and functional requirements for high & low voltage suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
• Manage the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) package from development to execution, including detailed engineering, fabrication, logistics, installation, contract management, and hand-over to operation.
• Develop and assist in design of electrical philosophies, strategies, topologies, single line diagrams, load list, system description, PMS/PDCS systems and electrical system solutions.
• Perform and follow up electrical system calculations, analyses, and assessments.

Education / Experience / Personal Skills

Education:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• FSE course.
• Ex course.

Experience:

• Solid understanding of electrical system analysis and transmission systems.
• Proven track record in conceptual and detailed engineering for large-scale projects.
• Experience and deep knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV, and IEC.

Personal skills:

• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Fluent Norwegian - good to have and English written and oral skills.
• Structured, analytical, and proactive work attitude.
• High integrity to business compliance.
• Be capable of structured and independent working.
• Able to take initiative.
