Electrical Senior Engineer - Cable Engineering

We are looking for Electrical Senior Engineer - Cable Engineering to join our team in Gdańsk.

About company:

Archer provides oil and drilling services and also cooperates with customers in the oil and gas industry.
The engineering office in Gdańsk was established in 2022 and is developing dynamically. The Polish branch of Archer is located in the Alchemia office complex in Gdańsk Oliwa.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• We are looking for a skilled electrical senior cable engineer to work in a large EPCI onshore project.
• Perform cable input, design, and routing for electrical cables.
• Cable routing in project database - Cabsys (EIS).
• Checking of EIT nodal segment.
• Release of cables according to project plan.
• Input of construction feedback.
• Use of NavisWorks (3D model viewer) or E3D in cable routing design.
• Define reference to termination documentation for cable from/to tag.
• Interface with other disciplines, suppliers, and client.

Education / Experience / Personal Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or Technical College combined with a minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience with onshore and offshore facilities.
• EX course (to be renewed every 5 years). If the candidate has no EX-certificate, then the course must be taken as soon as possible after starting work.
• FSE course.

Experience:

• Experience and thorough knowledge of electrical and cable design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK and IEC.

Personal skills:

• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Fluent Norwegian - good to have and English written and oral skills.
• Structured, analytical, and proactive work attitude.
• High integrity to business compliance.
• Capable of structured and independent working.
• Able to take initiative.

Required Qualifications:

• Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English, both orally and in writing.
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for a multicultural team environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements.
• Proactive, seeking advice and sharing own experiences with others.
